Research Interests
My research looks at how individuals use social media in the workplace and in risk contexts, in particular how citizens and organizations prepare for natural disaster. I have served as the lead graduate researcher on a National Science Foundation grant (NSF#1760453: The Changing Nature of "Calls" for Help with Hurricane Harvey: Comparing 9-1-1 and Social Media) since 2017, and have received several top paper awards and distinctions for my scholarship.
